After successful craft fairs, home shows and word-of-mouth, Juls moved into her storefront; A little farmhouse in the suburbs, where there was little traffic and no retail establishments. It didn't take long however for word to spread about the candle owners 's gregarious personality and passion to sell the highest quality candle available. Juls, along with her angels, Shelly, Ann, Jodi and literally hundreds of others, grew the business into something so much more than a retail shop. It became a destination point with not only the best scented products in town, but for customers to escape into a welcoming space overflowing with creativity and love. Alas, as is the case with many entrepreneurs, Juls reached a point where it was time to step away from the store in order to reconnect with her self and her life away from running the business.
Over the past two years Shelly, Ann and become the rock for "Juls, brand. This past year, we welcomed Nancy to the team of angels for day to day direction and coordination while Juls transitioned into the next phase.
We began the transition with scaling down products and hours, launching a new and improved website (yes another one ) and placing the farmhouse on the market. It has been a challenging adjustment for everyone, but we know how hard it has been on our customers. We thank you for your patience, loyalty, and kindness through our evolution.
"Juls" has no intention of riding off into the sunset. And all this change is positioning Juls for the next journey. Although we will not reside in the same funky farmhouse on James Burgess, "Juls" will continue to operate with the same passion and commitment to providing the best candle in the market. The julscandles.com will continue to operate, we will continue to support our local annual high school fundraisers and will be posting updates on our retail strategy via Facebook and our blog page on the website.

In January we are going to introduce a Block Party sale!!!! We will continue to offer our most popular scents in blocks that can be purchased by the ounce however we are are going to be significantly reducing some of our older scents to clear them out of our inventory.
We have talked Juls in to coming out of retirement to put together a refresh on how to pour candles and we are looking in to the possibility of having a DIY clinic where she will walk through these steps in person.
