When I agreed to help my mom take Juls to the next stage, I decided to use it as a resource for my own voice. I feel as though the community of love through Juls is strong enough to take the next step and do something much bigger than our own needs in Northern Georgia.

Starting today, each Juls scent has been assigned an organization making a difference in the world. As these organizations make their goal funding, we will cycle to another one.. and another one.. and another one.

The more we sell, the more we can afford to donate. But as well all know, every little bit counts. Simply sharing the existence of these organizations could make a difference.

Here are a list of the organizations I've chosen for our scents beginning April 22, 2019. As we cycle through different projects, I will post an updated blog and email to announce the new ones. At the end of each month, I will share how much we have made for each one and donate our contribution through Juls Candles.

Every purchase of Baby Jane donates $1 to Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC). Reducing food waste across the United States to preserve the environment and feed those in need. 40% of the food produced in the U.S is wasted while 1 in 7 Americans is food insecure. RLC engages community members to bring excess food from restaurants and other institutions to people who need it in their local communities. ​

Every purchase of "Get Washed" donates $1 to Jakes Diapers to serve babies around the world in devastatingly difficult situations. Specifically our funding will be supporting Veterans struggling in poverty from PTSD and other traumatic illnesses. With no federal safety net programs covering the cost of diapers, veterans struggle to meet the basic diaper needs of their children. This project provides diapers at no cost to our struggling Veterans.

LAVENDER FIELDS:

Hurricane Irma was one of the strongest storms ever measured... the regions it hit are still affected from it's damages. The Disaster Recovery Network at Global Giving has been there from the beginning to provide emergency supplies such as food, water and medicine and has continued to provide long term recovery and rebuilding relief. The project is almost finished! Every purchase of Lavender Fields donates 1 more dollar to long term recovery for these regions!
